I had a nightmare last night. In this dream I was still married to my ex-husband. In this nightmare he hit me. I had bruises and flowing blood. It was horrible.

I’ve lived my entire life in places that are prone to severe storms. I’m pretty blasé about the whole thing. Storms come, stuff gets damaged, eventually the power comes back on, the mess gets cleaned up, and then life goes on. But life doesn’t go on for some people.

The recent tornados reminded me once again how powerful wind can be…how powerless we all are in the face of a destructive storm. How do you respond?
